Rocky Horror to be shown on Saturday

The classic will be shown at Wizard World Comic Con.

Wizard World will present a screening of the 1975 classic musical The Rocky Horror Picture Show, during Wizard World Comic Con Philadelphia, on Saturday, June 3.

Barry Bostwick, who starred as Brad Majors in the cult favorite, will host the event, beginning at 9 p.m. on the main show floor at the Pennsylvania Convention Center, site of Wizard World Comic Con Philadelphia that weekend. Doors open at 8:30.

VIP packages with meet and greets and T-shirts are also available.

In The Rocky Horror Picture Show, sweethearts Brad Majors (Bostwick) and Janet Weiss (Susan Sarandon), stuck with a flat tire during a storm, visit the creepy home of eccentric Dr. Frank N Furter (Tim Curry), a transvestite scientist in search of a phone. As their innocence is lost, Brad and Janet meet a houseful of wild characters, including a rocking biker (Meat Loaf) and a creepy butler (Richard O’Brien). The film, famed for midnight showings, has been screened regularly since its release, often with audiences in full costume playing out the scenes as they are shown.

The event will also feature original costumes, handwritten song lyrics, scripts and behind-the-scenes photos.

Wizard World Comic Con Philadelphia, June 1–4, will feature Charlie Sheen, Gene Simmons, Guardians of the Galaxy stars Michael Rooker and Sean Gunn, Nichelle Nichols, James Marsters and Bostwick.

Wizard World will also feature live entertainment, parties, gaming, question-and-answer sessions with celebrities and a costume contest.

Kids 10 and under are admitted free with a paid adult.
